SPEAK LIFE, SPEAK FAITH
I remember growing up there was this phrase that we use to say, "sticks and stones may break my bones but words won't hurt me. " It seems as if words have lost their power and importance to change a life. That phrase is not entirely true because even as sticks and stones affect your physical body or life, words affect your spiritual life which in turn manifests in the physical.
The Bible declares that God sent His only son to die for us so that any person anywhere who believes in Him should not perish but obtain everlasting life.
That's exactly what happenes when you get born again. However, do you realize that if you do not speak it or if you do not confesss it the process of "being born again' is not complete?
Romans 10:10 declares, for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. So you believe in your heart and it is accounted to you for righteousness. Notice that you also speak what you believe and then salvation is made unto you. Salvation is not complete without confession. If you can recall once you got born again you would declare it to family, friends, your church and practically everybody who would care to listen. Some really didn't care to listen but the excitement of salvation enables you to keep declaring and being bold. (If you would like to get born again and receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour please look at the last paragraph below) You were confessing what you believe. This principle of believing and confession applies to every area of our lives as believers of Christ Jesus.
Salvation is not only applied in receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour but as well as in other areas of our Christian life. The new testament was originally written in Greek and Hebrew manuscript and to get true meanings of certain words it is best to also study the word of God in both Greek and Hebrew. The meaning of the word salvation in Greek has various meanings which include save, whole, healed, preserve and well. In Hebrew, it means deliverance, preservation, safety and welfare.
If we are to receive salvation in health, career, marriage, family e.t.c we need to do what Romans 10:10 says. We take the word of God and believe in our hearts then we speak it to ourselves, our circumstances, families, for salvation to be made unto us in each area. Some people may start to wonder, how can I start speaking the word of God to inanimate objects such as my business or marriage because it may seem foolish. If we desire our lives as Christians to receive salvation and function according to kingdom standards then we must apply the principle of believing and speaking our belief.
Remember Jesus spoke to the fig tree, He saw that it was not functioning the way He desired and He spoke to it. You can speak to trees, you can speak to cars to function, you can speak to situations to align to God's word because God has given us power through our words according to Proverbs 18:21(NIV) which states, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Jesus also declared in Mark 11:23 that you can have those things that you say. Our words have power.
You can choose to speak life or death to any situation and see it manifest according to your words. You must first believe it so that what you speak comes to pass. When you are speaking life you are speaking your faith into existence. Jesus spoke to the storm and wind and they manifested according to what He spoke. If we don't doubt in our hearts but believe that those things that we say comes to pass they will. This principle works in healing, in finances, in marriage, at your school, anywhere and in any situation. You know why? because its based on the word of God.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrews 13:8. If it worked for the people in the bible we must believe that it will work for us today. Nothing is impossible to them that believe. There is a reason why we are called believers and it's because we believe in Jesus Christ, His death, and resurrection and because we believe in God's word. Therefore let us begin to make a lifestyle of speaking it.
SALVATION PRAYER
If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, simply pray the following prayer in faith, and Jesus will be your Lord!
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9). You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me (John 3:5-6, 15-16; Romans 8:9-11) and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit and give me the ability to speak with other tongues (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:4). I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.

This is great. Believe and speak the Word, and it shall be established unto you. Amen
ReplyDeleteGreat job !
That's really powerful. Just as BELIEVING is made unto salvation, CONFESSION is also made!
ReplyDeleteChrist has paid the full price for us, but we also have a role to play to receive the benefits of His salvation.
Yes indeed He has paid it all and now we receive amen.
