BE A DOER OF THE WORD OF GOD

Every mathematician knows the 'ins' and 'outs' of maths and so understands it well and applies it skillfully whether at his career or in the work venture he or she undertakes. 

A scientist is a scientist because he or she has studied and gotten the 'ins' and 'outs' of various areas of science and can know a true scientist from a novice or one who is not as he is and can apply it to the point of doing it by heart because he knows it so well.

A chef can be called a chef because of his knowledge in the art of cooking, which food ingredients go together, which should never be put together, how to present food in an appealing and artistic format on a table that makes guests in a restaurant come back for more. Due to the fact that he or she has studied and applied what they have studied and know what they do by heart. 

This scenario also applies to true believers and followers of Christ. We cannot claim to be true believers until we also walk in the ways of the knowledge of the word that we study which is the bible. True believers will study to show themselves approved,2 Timothy 2:15, and be doers of the word. True believers will walk, by the help of the Holy Spirit, in the way that they believe in because if we don't how will others know that we believe? How will they know if we stand by what we claim? If we do not walk in the way of the word, have we believed at all? May we all walk truly in the word of God and not just claim it with our mouths only. Praise Jesus.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22 (NIV)
